My heart is racing I tell ya! I just submitted my first ever pitch on Twitter. An hour ago, I didn’t even know it was a thing. THAT’S how new at this I am. The contest came across my feed and I jumped on it. Why not? What do I have to lose?
I feel a bit anxious and awkward. Is that normal? I hope so. I was pitching my PB “Chaos in the Flower Garden.” It was very hard to stay within the Twitter character limitations! Here’s what I wrote:
Each flower family stays within the boundaries of their own kind.Carl Cardinal,disgusted by their bickering,calls an emergency meeting at the birdbath launching OPERATION CHAOS.A storm threatens the garden.They will have to rely on each other’s differences to survive.#WMPitch #PB
There’s so much more to the story but what can you do with such few characters? Like anything in life, I’ll live and learn. I LOVE learning new things so I can’t wait to learn my lessons from this one.
Anyway, I had to record this day. Today, I actually pitched a picture book! So cool!
