Brad and Jill had no idea their new house had secrets.

“What’s that?” asked Jill.

“Looks like a treasure map,” said Brad.

The map read:

Like adventure?

Head to the library.

Find a book with an X on the spine.

Pull.

One rule: KEEP IT SECRET!

They raced to the library!

Searched high. Then low.

“We’ve looked everywhere. I give up!”

“I found it!” yelled Jill.

“PULL!”

CREAK!

     RATTLE!

          RUMBLE!

The bookshelves opened up like a door.

A SECRET ROOM!

In the room was a tube slide that went below the floor.

“Where does that go?”

“Only one way to find out!”

“WHEEEEE!!!”

They twisted and turned like a roller coaster ride.

Then… PLOP. . . into a pit of foam.

“WOW! LOOK!”

Rainbow lollipops,

video games galore,

a mountain of toys,

a trampoline floor for bouncing,

and even a chocolate fountain!

A kid’s PARADISE!!!!

After hours of jumping, playing, and laughing…

“How do we get back?”

“Look, an elevator!”

“Quick! Put the book back!”

“Where’d you two run off to today?” asked Mom.

“The library.”

“Did you find a good book?” asked Dad.

“Our favorite book ever!” winked Jill.

“I think we’re going to like it here,” giggled Brad.
