The flower garden looked charming in Spring, but looks can be deceiving.

“Get off my trellis, you annoying weed!” Ruby Rose shouted at the Lantanas.

“You’re jealous the butterflies like us best,” snapped Lenny Lantana.

Each flower mingled only with its own kind.

“Quit blocking my sun,” griped Petunia at the Hibiscus.

Cardinal Carl called an emergency animal meeting at the birdbath.

“Time for OPERATION CHAOS: spread the flowers’ seeds everywhere,” explained

Carl. “Soon, they’ll have to learn to get along!”

New flowers popped up everywhere!

“A sunflower? Here? I never!” exclaimed Ruby Rose.

“Sunny’s my friend,” said Bud Rose.

BOOM! CRASH!

“STORM! Take cover!”

“I can’t hang on!” screamed Ruby gripping her trellis.

“I’ll help,” said Sunny shielding Ruby like an umbrella.

The Petunias sheltered butterflies.

The Lantanas untangled the Hisbiscus.

The garden worked together and everyone survived.

OPERATION CHAOS was a success and the garden never looked lovelier.
